American Style Pancakes and Bacon
Slimming Eats Recipe
Serves 1 (mixture makes 4 pancakes)
Extra Easy – 1 HEb and 2.5 syns per serving
Original – 1 HEb and syns per serving
Ingredients
3 slices of turkey bacon (or similar type lean bacon, which is free on SW)
1 tablespoon of maple syrup (2 syns)
For the pancakes
2 eggs
28g of Ready Break (HEb)
1/2 cup of fat free vanilla yoghurt
1 tablespoon of Splenda
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
(both the above add up to 0.5 syns)
Frylight or Pam spray
Method
Spray a frying pan with some Frylight or Pam spray and cook your turkey bacon till golden and crisps (set aside)
For the pancakes
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
In a separate bowl mix together the yoghurt and eggs.
Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients.
Spray a griddle pan with some Frylight or Pam spray and cook your pancakes until golden on each side (be careful when flipping over). The mixture will make 4 pancakes.
Serve the pancakes with your crispy bacon and a drizzle over the top with the maple syrup.
