Make this Sweet and Sticky Maple Glazed Chicken for dinner tonight
Before I moved to Canada, I never really used Maple Syrup, maybe just when I made pancakes, but a Canadian kitchen would no be complete without a bottle of pure maple syrup and well it is now used frequently. In fact it is my preferred sweetener, natural and not overly processed like various other sugars. Plus I love the taste.
Maple syrup can be found at most Grocery Stores, one thing I will say though is to make sure the ingredients are just Maple Syrup, there are some varieties out there that are mixed with other ingredients and are just not the real deal.
You can also find maple syrup on amazon - if you want to get some of the Costco Kirkland Maple Syrup I like to use.
It gives a lovely coating to this Maple Glazed Chicken and my kids love these drumsticks. Of course if you don't like chicken drumsticks, the glaze will work on chicken breast or thighs too.
Once baked the maple glaze chicken takes on a lovely colour and glaze and they taste finger lickin good. If you have some leftover these are great in a lunch box or picnic too.
I like to serve these with some sauteed zucchini shavings and this delicious Red Pepper and Sweet Corn Rice. But they would also go well with a variety of different sides, including my Perfect Syn Free Fries.
The Maple Glazed Chicken is also gluten and dairy free and suitable for anyone on a paleo diet.

Making this tonight with thighs! I was planning to make the honey mustard chicken but didnt have the wholegrain mustard in the cupboard. I read that you could put those in the slowcooker, so I thought this might work for this recipe too, I'll let you know!
