Treat yourself to a bowl of this delicious homemade Raspberry and White Chocolate Frozen Yoghurt
Homemade Frozen Yoghurt
Frozen yoghurt can be a great treat to make in a Ice Cream maker when you fancy a treat. Just add your flavourings and mix ins and you can have a delicious frozen yoghurt to enjoy in minutes.
The combination of fresh raspberries and white chocolate with vanilla yoghurt in this version is delicious.
I own a Cuisinart Ice Cream maker and we use it a lot, especially in the Summer months.
Making Frozen Yoghurt without an Ice Cream Maker
Don't worry if you don't own a ice cream maker, you can still make this in your freezer. You just add the ingredients to a tub and keep removing from the freezer approx every 45 minutes to an hour and giving it a stir to prevent any ice crystals from forming and then it's ready when it gets to the frozen consistency you prefer.
We like ours almost like soft serve, so it really doesn't take long at all.
Best Yoghurt for Frozen Yoghurt
You can really use any yoghurt you like, I just prefer Greek Yoghurt because it's slightly higher in protein and has a thicker consistency which I find yields a better frozen yoghurt. But if you prefer regular yoghurt you can use that too.
You can also play around with different flavours, I used vanilla as it goes well with the raspberries and white chocolate, but there are so many different flavours out there.
Can I use plain yoghurt?
If you want to use plain yoghurt you can do that too, but you may need to increase the ingredients to sweeten. Taste until it's at your desired sweetness. The fruit and white chocolate will add some sweetness too.
