All the Best Slimming Eats Recipes for a Perfect Sunday Dinner!!
I very rarely Roast a Whole Chicken, mainly because I would just not be able to resist not having the crispy skin. So instead I make my Slow Cooker Chicken, the meat just falls off the bone as you lift it out and you have delicious moist and never dry chicken meat. Once you try this you will come back to again and again.
and if you are lucky enough to own an Instant Pot, which is the best kitchen gadget I have purchased. I would even put it above my actifry and that’s saying something.
It is basically a 7in1 cooker, and it slow cooks, pressure cooks, saute’s, has settings for soup, chilli, rice, porridge and even makes yoghurt (I haven’t tried that yet).
You can cook a whole chicken in less than 30 minutes. How awesome is that? Check out my Instant Pot Whole Chicken with Gravy for how to make it.

Of course whenever a Sunday dinner is involved there just has to be a gravy and my Rich Onion Gravy is the best you will ever taste, there have been many variations since I first shared this back in 2009, but trust me when I say this is the best and it is super easy to make. It can also be made in a big batch, so you can freeze some for later.
You can either use stock or use the juices from the slow cooked chicken by separating the fat
As well as chicken, this can be used on the juices from any meat, either slow cooked or roasted.
My gravy can also be made to compliment whatever meat you are serving - if it is lamb, use a lamb based stock or for beef, use a beef based stock.
Then, of course, there have to be Yorkshire puddings and these deliciousYorkshire puddings are just the thing for mopping up that gravy.
