This carrot cake oatmeal is delicious, filling and packed with speed food. For a creamier version you can add some milk of your choice. Also drizzle with a tablespoon of maple syrup for pure indulgence.

Carrot Cake Oatmeal
Ingredients
- 40g (1oz) rolled oats
- ¾ cup (180ml) of water
- 1 carrot, finely grated
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
- pinch of ground ginger
- pinch of salt
- 10g of sultanas
- 1 small apple, grated
- ¼ cup (60ml) 2% milk
Instructions
- Add oatmeal, carrot, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, salt,sultanas and water to a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over a medium high heat, and simmer until water is absorbed and oatmeal is thick and creamy.
- Add to a bowl, stir in the milk, top with the grated apple.
- Enjoy!!

I can see it says 60g oats. Would using wheat bran give the same results please? I don't know which oatmeal you use.
For the time being I will use 40g porridge oats HEb.
