Pocky are the perfect snack - thin stick biscuit that come in various coating and varieties. Perfect for sharing or not! with your favourite cuppa.
Since I moved to Canada, I have become slightly Pocky Mad, these are a great low calorie snack especially if you share a pack.
What are Pocky?
It is a kind of pretzel flavoured covered stick and are a big craze from Japan. You can read more on the Wikipedia page:
They are similar to the Mikado sticks in the UK. Although Pocky have a much wider range of flavours. Actually they have a crazy amount of different varieties.
The good thing is, they are generally less than 200 calories for a whole box. Which gives you quite a few sticks, and is a great snack/treat for watching a movie.
These are my favourite ones:
These ones are only 170 calories for the whole box, and are kind of like a white chocolate covered coating. I got some for $1 in Walmart, which is one place I have found tends to stock a variety of them. Have also seen them in Oriental food markets with a lot more varieties to try.
Where to buy Pocky
There are various places you can buy pocky snacks and if you check out the Pocky website it will tell you where to find them. Checking out a local asian market as mentioned above is also a good place to find them.
There are also some on Amazon -
