Asian Spiced Chicken Meatballs
Asian Chicken Meatballs - perfect as a appetizer or light lunch with a side of simple dipping sauce made from soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic and sesame oil.
Ingredients
Meatballs
- 500g (17.5oz) of 5% fat ground chicken (mince) or turkey
- 1 tablespoon of all purpose soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
- 1 teaspoon of chinese five spice
- handful of fresh coriander, finely chopped
- 2-3 spring onions, finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon of ginger
- low calorie spray
Dipping Sauce
- 2 tablespoons of all purpose sauce
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed
- 1 spring onion finely sliced
Instructions
- Combine ingredients for dipping sauce in a bowl
- Preheat oven to 160c fan, 180c or 350f
- Add all ingredients for meatballs to a bowl and mix well to combine.
- Roll into bite size meatballs and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Spray over the top with some olive oil spray and baked until cooked through, approx 20 minutes
- Serve with dipping sauce
