For those of you who frequent my facebook page - You can find it here. I have decided to set some weekly challenges every Saturday (which is also my weigh in day) .
I have been stuck in a bit of a rut since my daughter was born, and although there has been no gains, the constant snacking (on healthy goods) because of breastfeeding means my weight has just stayed the same since she was born. However, now she is onto solids, the need to snack has been less, so finally last week I had a 3lb weight loss and with that decided to set Weekly Challenge #1, which was to drink 2L of fluid a day (water, tea, no added sugar squash included). I am one of those naughty people who can get through a whole day and forget to drink anything. It is important when on a healthy eating plan to keep you body rehydrated with fluid. In fact it is important regardless of being on a healthy eating plan. So, each morning this week, I filled up my bottle and kept it with me throughout the day and then topped it up again in the afternoon. It is something I plan to continue with, because this week I had another weight loss of 1lb.
So on to Weekly Challenge #2. We all know the importance of super free foods right? Well I am setting myself a super free challenge for this week. Instead of the ⅓ super free at every dinner time, I am aiming to filling my plate with a ½ super free. Breakfast and Lunch will remain a ⅓ (however if I can get a ½ into those too, then I definitely will. BUT, there is another extra little challenge to add and that is to go out and try 3 new superfree foods you haven’t tried before or at least haven’t tried in a long time.
It is grocery shopping day for me today, so I am on the hunt for Celeriac, Fennel and then my 3rd super free will be an exotic fruit of some kind.
I will be doing a post about the importance of super free foods, so keep your eye out for that. I know some starting on the plan often get confused about Extra Easy and super free foods.
If you want to join in on the weekly challenges which are all just for fun to help keep us motivated, be sure to come and check out my Facebook Page
