Just look at these delicious Curly Fries - yum!!

Vegetable spiralizers have many uses, great for making all those speed vegetables interesting, especially if you have any fussy eaters among your household.
But one other thing I like to use mine for is Curly Fries - my kids absolutely love these and they are a great variation to regular chips.

These curly fries can be served with all kinds of things - topping for salad (give a lovely crunch), as a side to your main meal, or even as a soup topper these are amazing and look so pretty.
I spiral my potatoes with the paderno vegetable spiralizer which is one of the best ones out there. However it is hard to source in the UK
But this one looks pretty close and gets a high rating.

On most spiralizers you get at least 2 spiral sized blades, for the curly fries you need to use the bigger spiral blade not the small one.
The seasoning mix that I find works best is: salt, paprika, cumin, onion powder and garlic powder. It's what my kids love best. But I have other seasoning mixes on my: Perfect Oven Baked Chips too if you want to vary it.
When I make my perfect chips, I always parboil the potatoes first, but for these Curly Fries you don't need to do that, as they are pretty thin they cook quite quickly anyway and crisp up nicely.

I always place them on a parchment lined tray, as I just find they are easier to remove then once cooked (you don't end up with any stuck to the tray) - parchment paper is a great thing to have available, as it will save all your baking trays from getting too gunked up from spray oils etc.
Obviously the curly fries are harder to space out like regular chips, but just be sure they are not piled up on top of each other too much, so long as there is space for the heat in the oven to go all around them, they will go lovely and golden. I also don't bother turning these over half way through. But you can if you want a more even golden colour, just try not to turn over too soon, as they will break up if not quite cooked enough.

If you love your ketchup with any kind of chips, don't forget to check out my Low Sugar Ketchup - it tastes just as good as regular ketchup but less sugar.
and I also have a recipe for Spiralled Sweet Potato Hash which is just perfect with eggs etc for breakfasts but would also make another delicious side to a main course.

Do you think these would work in an actifry?
Shevy (Slimming Eats) says
I think the actifry would just mash these all up, they are best done in the oven.
