How To Slice A Honey Pomelo!!
While grocery shopping yesterday and scanning the fruit section for what new fruits I could buy to try. I spotted Honey Pomelo on offer, 2 huge ones for $3.00. So being a grapefruit addict at the moment and knowing a Pomelo is pretty similar. I thought I would buy some and see what they are really like.
For those of you wondering - What on earth is a Pomelo?
This is what one looks like:

They are pretty easy to prepare. First I cut a bit of the flesh off the top.

Then I cut the Pomelo into quarters, like below:

Once you have done this, you can easily slice the flesh away from the thick skin using a sharp knife.

It will look like this once you have removed all the skin:

and it is then ready for you to enjoy. My 3 year old didn’t like it, but I thought it was lovely. Not as bitter as some grapefruits and a nice healthy snack.

I'm 13 and my dad bought this on tuesday I think, so only today (sunday 7:00PM) i decided to try it. I unwrap it slice it in half like an orange and in half again to make quarters, peel of the skin, cut into slices, and eat it... Tasty! I thought it would be like a grapefruit, bitter, but it was actually sweat and bitter (not so bitter) and i liked it! Also thanks for posting this Guide you could say on how to actually slice it open.
