Enjoy one of these delicious Low Syn Individual Strawberry Cheesecakes that won’t break your daily Slimming World syn allowance.
Sometimes you just fancy a sweet treat to indulge in after dinner and these Strawberry Cheesecakes worked just a treat and were super easy and quick to make. I love using Sweet Freedom Choc Shot to add some chocolate flavour to a variety of sweet dishes, as it tastes great, is natural and is very little syns at just 0.5 syns per tsp).
This is slightly different ingredients to a traditional cheesecake, as I wanted this to be something you could create quickly and didn’t use up all of your syns.
So I used a crumbled cookie for the base of these strawberry cheesecakes, then a mixture of Greek Yoghurt and Cream Cheese to get that cheesecake taste. Yes, you could use quark to make the syns even lower, but it just doesn’t have the same taste as a Cream Cheese made cheesecake so it’s worth the syns.
I do recommend using Greek Yoghurt or Icelandic yoghurt over just regular yoghurt which tends to be much runnier. I used fat-free vanilla yoghurt, but strawberry would work too.
Want to vary this up? Try using different fruit in combination with a different cookie for the base and different flavoured yoghurt.
Here are some suggestions:
- Lemon Cheesecake: Lemon Greek Yoghurt (use plain Greek if you can’t get syn free lemon flavoured, add sweetener of choice and some lemon extract or zest), the cream cheese, then use a crumbled ginger cookie for the base.
- Tropical Cheesecake: Coconut Greek Yoghurt ( use plain Greek if you can’t get syn free coconut flavoured, add sweetener of choice and some coconut extract and top with tropical fruits such as pineapple, mango, passionfruit etc), the cream cheese and a biscuit of choice for the base
- Candy Bar Cheesecake: using Vanilla Greek yoghurt and the cream cheese, biscuit of choice for the base and top with a mini crumbled candy bar of choice – twix, snickers, Maltesers, bounty, so many different variations here.
- Funfetti Birthday Cake Cheesecake: using Vanilla Greek yoghurt, the cream cheese, tiny bit of almond extract, sprinkles stirred through, crumbled custard cream for the base, and some light squirty cream and sprinkles on top.
- Banoffee Cheesecake: use banana flavoured Greek yoghurt (or vanilla if you can’t get banana), the cream cheese, crumbled cookie of choice as the base, sliced banana, and melt one caramel in the microwave and drizzle over the top.
So many other variations you can create, just make sure you adjust syn value to the ingredients you use and if you love low syn desserts like this, don’t forget to head on over to my FULL RECIPE INDEX with over 800+ delicious Slimming World Recipes, all fully searchable by meal type, syn value, ingredinets etc
