parchment paper.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"2\" id=\"mv_create_506_3\">Place in the oven and bake for approx 45, till the butternut squash halve feels softened when gently pressed on the skin.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"3\" id=\"mv_create_506_4\">Remove and allow to cool.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"4\" id=\"mv_create_506_5\">In the meantime, place a deep large frying pan over a medium heat and spray with some olive oil spray, add the onion and fry until golden and softened. Add the garlic and fry for a just to infused the flavour.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"5\" id=\"mv_create_506_6\">Scoop out all the butternut squash flesh and add to the pan, with a pinch of cayenne (optional) and the stock.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"6\" id=\"mv_create_506_7\">Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"7\" id=\"mv_create_506_8\">Add to a blender and allow to cool slightly and then blend well until really smooth and silky - this may take a couple of minutes of blending but you want the sauce as smooth as possible. (always be careful not to overfill blender with hot liquid).<\/li><li data-step-index=\"8\" id=\"mv_create_506_9\">Bring a large saucepan of water (seasoned with salt) to a boil, add in the pasta and cook till al dente. Reserve about \u2153 cup (80ml) of the pasta water, then the pasta and spray with olive oil and toss to coat to prevent it sticking together.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"9\" id=\"mv_create_506_10\">Add the blended squash mixture back to the saucepan over a medium heat and stir in the cheese until fully melted, reduce the heat to low and stir in the pasta and reserved pasta water. Continue to stir until silky and creamy.
