I love that I can flavour a choice of protein with some seasoning, add some healthy vegetables and bake all on one tray for a delicious family meal.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chicken in this Moroccan Tray Bake is so tender and delicious and pairs beautiful with the cubes of butternut squash, softened caramelized onion and mixed peppers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Moroccan Seasoning<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Moroccan seasoning, I always make my own blend with the spices from my spice cupboard. Yes, you can buy ready mixed Moroccan Seasoning, but by making your own blend, you can ensure it is all natural ingredients. Plus if you keep doubling up the ingredients in the spices used, you can store in a airtight jar and you have a handy Moroccan Spice Blend on hand to add to vegetables and proteins for flavouring any time you want. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this Moroccan Seasoning I add the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1.5 teaspoons of paprika<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon of cumin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon of coriander<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon of ground ginger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon of fine sea salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon of cayenne pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc teaspoon each of turmeric, cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is enough just for this recipe. However if you want to make up a whole jar to keep in your spice cupboard, this is the quantities I recommend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 tablespoons of paprika<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.5 tablespoons of cumin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.5 tablespoons of coriander<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.5 tablespoons of ground ginger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.5 tablespoons of fine sea salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 teaspoons of cayenne<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon each of turmeric, cinnamon, ground nutmeg and ground cloves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1812\" data-pin-description=\"Moroccan Chicken and Roasted Sweet Potato Tray Bake - Tender Moroccan Chicken with Roasted Sweet Potatoes and Vegetables all baked on one tray for an easy family meal. I do often like to use sheets of parchment paper too, just to make ensure the tray doesn't get too messy, but so long as it's not a super dry dish where food might stick, you don't really need to use parchment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My favourite baking trays are a set of these <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3xNkBLN\" rel=\"sponsored nofollow\"><strong>Nordicware<\/strong><\/a> ones, they are made from aluminium, never rust or warp and last for years if looked after properly. You can get them in various sizes too, so perfect for all your baking needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another thing to consider when doing tray bakes is ensuring the tray or baking dish is big enough for all the ingredients you are adding, if you crowd everything too close together or on top of each other, it won't cook evenly and vegetables will tend to steam and can go soggy instead of getting that lovely roasted flavour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sides for Moroccan Chicken Tray Bake<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I often eat this just as it is, as with the sweet potato, it's a delicious plate of food. But if you like a more filling meal.
