Not only that, but I find they can leave a horrible aftertaste at times, especially in baked goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This cheesecake was a success, the quality and taste is so much better when you use real sugar, we all knew that anyway, but tend to avoid using sugar because we fear everything will be high in calories. Not anymore, a slice of this cheesecake is still low enough in calories to be well within your daily allowance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong style=\"white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px; text-transform: none; text-align: left; widows: 1; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 18px; text-indent: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">This recipe is Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u><span style=\"color: #808000; font-size: medium;\">Slimming Eats Recipe<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Serves 8<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You could try replacing the sugar with sweetener if you prefer to bring the calories right down, but I can't guarantee the flavour or quality of the cheesecake to be the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC_0691.jpg\" alt=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\" title=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Ingredients<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>375g of Quark<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>300g of fat free cottage cheese (blended till smooth)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup (100g) of sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon of cornstarch (cornflour)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>vanilla pod<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon of vanilla essence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>little zest from a fresh lemon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>11 Oreo cookies <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Method<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preheat oven to 180c or 350f (gas mark 4)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grease a spring form pan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chop 10 Oreo's into quarters and roughly line the bottom of the spring form pan with the Oreo pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0621.jpg\" alt=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\" title=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Separate the yolks from the whites of the eggs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scrap the seeds from the vanilla pod and add to a large bowl along with the quark, cottage cheese, sugar, egg yolks, vanilla extract, little zest from a lemon and the cornstarch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0633.jpg\" alt=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\" title=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Whisk until all ingredients are well combined<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0636.jpg\" alt=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\" title=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In another bowl whisk the egg whites until they form soft peaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0639.jpg\" alt=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\" title=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Fold this into the rest of the mixture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0643.jpg\" alt=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\" title=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour this on top of the Oreo pieces in the springform pan and gently tap the sides, so the mixture is evenly distributed in the pan<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0648.jpg\" alt=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\" title=\"Slimming Eats Baked Oreo Cheesecake - Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Place in the oven and bake for approx 35 mins. When cooked the cheesecake will be slightly golden around the edges. You can gently place a skewer in the centre just to make sure the middle is not too wet still.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leave the cheesecake to cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once cooled you can then place in the fridge to chill before slicing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once ready to serve.
