Mash<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Slimming Eats Recipe<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Serves 4<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Ingredients<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>800g\/28oz of potatoes, peeled and cubed - pick a waxy larger variety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>chicken or vegetable stock (broth)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>salt and black pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>120g\/4.5oz of cheddar cheese, grated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 spring onions sliced<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Method<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Place the potatoes in a saucepan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Just cover with stock<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring to a boil and simmer until soft<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drain, but reserve stock.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using a potato ricer or masher, mash the potatoes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add a little bit of the reserved stock at a time, until you have a nice smooth mashed potato<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mix in the spring onion and cheddar till well combined<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Season with salt and black pepper.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cheddar
