Cook until the squash begins to soften. Gradually add small amounts of chicken stock to prevent sticking and to deglaze the flavorful bits from the chicken on the pan's bottom.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"5\" id=\"mv_create_658_6\">Add the sliced leeks and garlic to the pan, and cook for about 5-8 minutes, ensuring the butternut squash is tender, and the leeks become softened and golden in colour.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"6\" id=\"mv_create_658_7\">Transfer the onion, butternut squash, and leek mixture in a single even layer in an ovenproof dish, making sure not to overcrowd it. Place the chicken pieces on top and pour over any juices from the plate.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"7\" id=\"mv_create_658_8\">Pour over the remaining stock and sprinkle all over with the parmesan cheese.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"8\" id=\"mv_create_658_9\">Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
