A mixture of varieties will just add better flavour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What type of  Mushrooms are best for Saut\u00e9<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use just basic white mushrooms for these garlic mushrooms and bacon, but for more flavour here are some other options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oyster<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Large Portobello Caps (make sure you remove the black gills, otherwise you'll end up with a grey liquid around you mushrooms which is not desirable)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cremini or Baby Bella mushrooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chanterelle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shiitake<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enoki - these can be hard to source but are a great mushroom for frying. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Can I use lean back bacon?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to reduce the calories you can use back bacon if you prefer, but there is a few things to bear in mind, back bacon is pretty lean so won't release that little bit of fat when it cooks, which is what you want for really caramelizing the mushrooms and adding flavour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It's worth the extra calories for the streaky bacon and is a nice treat for breakfast that is still not to high on calories really. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Can I use whole wheat bread?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I used a slice of multigrain sourdough for this, as it just pairs so well and is really filling for one slice, but feel free to use any bread you like, if you are gluten free you will want to opt for a bread that is suitable for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Variations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Want a creamy version? just add in a spoonful of light cream cheese and stir until melted. It's heavenly!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is also delicious with some sliced avocado underneath the mushrooms and bacon or some guacamole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>or add a little sprinkle of finely grated parmesan to the top. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The best Poached Egg method<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most people can feel a bit overwhelmed trying to cook a poached egg, but I find my method really easy and always results in a perfectly cooked poached egg. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Just Bring a saucepan of water to a rapid boil, then turn down heat a littler so that the water is no longer vigorously boiling. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stir the water to create a vortex<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Crack an egg into a shallow bowl and lower it gently into middle of the vortex in the water. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leave for approx 3 mins and then remove with a slotted spoon onto kitchen pan.
