It's a really simple dough that is made with  self-raising flour and Greek yoghurt, and it can be used as the base for all kinds of breads, from naan and flatbreads to pizza dough, bagels, and rolls and even sweet treats like donut holes. If the balance is slightly off, the texture just isn't quite right. I also find it easiest to roll out all the naan first before starting to cook them, so everything is ready to go once the pan is hot. A cast iron pan works especially well as it gives the naan those lovely golden charred spots similar to a traditional naan bread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list is-style-circle-number-list\">\n<li>Get all your ingredients measured and ready before you start, as the dough comes together quite quickly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The dough will seem sticky at first, which is completely normal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Combine the dough first with a silicone spatula or wooden spoon before using your hands.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the dough starts to come together into a rough ball, knead it gently with your hands until smooth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lightly dust your hands and work surface with a little flour if needed, but avoid adding too much extra flour or the naan can become dry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roll out all the naan breads before you start cooking so they are ready to go straight into the pan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook the naan in a hot pan, I love to use a  cast iron pan which is the best golden charred spots and flavour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brush the cooked naan with melted butter and sprinkle with the chopped coriander while still warm for the best flavour and Allow them to cool completely, then layer between sheets of baking paper and place in a freezer-safe bag or container. amount of flour for dusting (about \u00be of a tablespoon) Combine the rest of the flour, baking powder and pinch of sea salt in a bowl<\/li><li data-step-index=\"1\" id=\"mv_create_526_2\">Add the Greek Yoghurt (make sure you only add the thick yoghurt part, none of the natural liquid that sits on top) and 1 of the minced garlic cloves and mix with a silicone spatula until all ingredients combined and the sides of the bowl are clear (don't use hands for this part or the dough will stick to your hands). Once you have one big ball of dough,  you can knead all together with hands before proceeding to the next steps.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"2\" id=\"mv_create_526_3\">Divide the dough into 6 equal sized balls.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"3\" id=\"mv_create_526_4\">Dust one ball of the dough with a little reserved flour - place in between wax paper or parchment paper. Then place a board or heavy saucepan on top and flatten down as much as you can into a flat circle.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"4\" id=\"mv_create_526_5\">Then dust again and use a rolling pin to roll to naan bread shapes (Approx 5x7inches), transfer to a plate.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"5\" id=\"mv_create_526_6\">Repeat with remaining balls of dough.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"6\" id=\"mv_create_526_7\">Once all the naan breads are shaped. Heat a large frying pan (I like to use my cast iron pan for these, as you get the best result) over a medium high heat and spray with cooking oil spray.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"7\" id=\"mv_create_526_8\">When the pan is hot, add the naan bread (you can cook 2 to 3 at a time depending on the size of your pan), cook each side for approx 3 minutes, until browned\/golden areas like a traditional naan bread. Watch they don't burn by just lifting to check, you may need to lower your heat slightly.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"8\" id=\"mv_create_526_9\">Once cooked melt the butter add the remaining minced garlic clove and finely chopped cilantro and brush this over the naan breads.
