Along with pancakes and waffles of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, where I usually have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/?s=pancakes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><span style=\"color: #874149;\">pancakes<\/span><\/strong><\/a> or <span style=\"color: #874149;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/?s=waffles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #874149;\">waffles<\/span><\/a> <\/strong><\/span>for breakfast, baked oatmeal always tends to be saved for a dessert when I make it, something I can look forward to at the end of a busy day, once the kids are in bed and I can finally sit down, feet up and not have to worry about the kids trying to nick any of it. S'mores!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>and that was it. S'mores Baked Oatmeal was created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now some of you may be wondering - What on earth is a S'more?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A s'more is basically two graham crackers (which are square shaped biscuits, the easiest way I can describe the taste to someone from the UK, is like a cross between a rich tea and a digestive biscuit). You then stick a marshmallow on a skewer and toast it at the camp fire, once toasted you add a square or two of chocolate (usually Hershey's) to one square of graham cracker, add your toasted marshmallow to the top of that and then sandwich together with another graham cracker square and squish down so that the heat of the toasted marshmallow melts the chocolate - divine!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"1027\" src=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/smores-baked-oatmeal-4.jpg\" alt=\"Slimming Eats S'mores Baked Oatmeal - vegetarian, Slimming and Weight Watchers friendly\" class=\"wp-image-18148\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/smores-baked-oatmeal-4.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/smores-baked-oatmeal-4-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/smores-baked-oatmeal-4-678x1024.jpg 678w, https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/smores-baked-oatmeal-4-300x453.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/smores-baked-oatmeal-4-560x846.jpg 560w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It's gooey, it's chocolatey, it's sweet, it's just addictively delicious and ends up with most kids yelling \"I want some more\" - hence the name S'more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if you try any baked oatmeal recipe, make it this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All my baked oatmeal recipes, follow pretty much the same basic ingredients, before adding whatever filling or flavour I intend to make and that is a  serving of oats, egg, yoghurt (usually Greek and plain), vanilla extract, baking powder and sweetener (if needed).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To sweeten the S'mores Baked Oatmeal, I used a mixture of<span style=\"color: #874149;\">&nbsp;<\/span><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2l5pTkE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #874149;\">Sukrin:1<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>( a natural sweetener&nbsp;with no aftertaste and my preferred choice when making baked goods or wanting to sweeten things). For this recipe, I used fat-free&nbsp;plain Greek Yoghurt and I felt it yielded the best result ever for the baked oatmeal, it was really like a cake in texture and felt really naughty and delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I use a large marshmallow, but if you can't get those where you are, just use a few mini ones to the same value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure the dish you are adding the mixture too, has enough room to rise too, once you place it in the oven, it shouldn't fill more than \u00be of the dish, otherwise it will overflow and cause a huge mess. The last thing you want is to have to scrap, baked oatmeal off the bottom of your oven, when you should be digging in and enjoying this S'mores Baked Oatmeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I use these <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2giBmMM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">anchor glass dishes<\/a>, which are oven proof and the perfect size for this recipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
