The crispy toast, topped with a meatball, sauce and cheese was just divine and they are pretty easy to make too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" marinara sauce, but if you have some of my <span style=\"color: #874149;\"><a style=\"color: #874149;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/marinara-sauce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>MARINARA SAUCE<\/strong><\/a><\/span> made up in advance (I usually have a batch somewhere in the freezer) then it will cut down on the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingeats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC_0749.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" 160c fan,180c\/350f <\/li><li data-step-index=\"1\" id=\"mv_create_958_2\">Remove crusts from bread, so that each slice weighs 30g\/1oz<\/li><li data-step-index=\"2\" id=\"mv_create_958_3\">Using a rolling pin, roll over each slice of bread to flatten.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"3\" id=\"mv_create_958_4\">Spray both sides of bread with spray oil<\/li><li data-step-index=\"4\" id=\"mv_create_958_5\">Push down into a muffin tray to form bread cups.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"5\" id=\"mv_create_958_6\">Place in oven and bake for approx 20mins until lightly golden<\/li><li data-step-index=\"6\" id=\"mv_create_958_7\">Add ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder to a bowl and mix well to combine.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"7\" id=\"mv_create_958_8\">Form into 8 meatballs (they should be about the right size to fit in each bread cup)<\/li><li data-step-index=\"8\" id=\"mv_create_958_9\">Place on a baking tray, spray over top with spray oil and place in the id=\"mv_create_958_11\">Add the meatballs to bowl and cover well with marinara sauce.<\/li><li data-step-index=\"11\" id=\"mv_create_958_12\">Place one meatball with sauce into each toasted bread cup
