Pork Breakfast Patties

Pork Breakfast Patties

Start your morning with these amazing homemade Pork Sausage Breakfast Patties - super easy to make, but with a delicious taste.

Ingredients

Sausage

  • 500g (17.5oz) of pork shoulder, visible fat removed
  • 2 tsps of paprika
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • few fresh sage leaves, chopped
  • pinch of mixed herbs
  • 1/4 tsp fennel seeds (crushed in mortar and pestle)

Optional

  • 1 tbs of maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Add the pork shoulder to a food processor and pulse until ground like mince.
  2. Add the ingredients to a bowl along with the seasoning and mix to combine.
  3. Form into 8 equal sizes patties
  4. Heat a frying pan sprayed with cooking oil spray over a medium high heat.
  5. Add the patties and cook until golden on each side and cooked through.
  6. Serve with your favourite breakfast sides.
  7. Optional: add some maple syrup for a maple breakfast sausage
