I have developed a bit of addiction over the last few days. I bought a huge bag of ruby red grapefruits when doing my grocery shopping this week and now I can't get enough of them. They are so nice sprinkled with a little bit of sweetener and take away any sweet cravings I may have.
Also, grapefruits are supposedly great for boosting weight loss, and although it was thought to be a myth, it is now in fact believed to be true.
Eating some grapefruit with every meal, is thought to help break down body fat, so I have decided to give it a trial and see what happens. At every meal time I will have half a grapefruit and will see if it makes my weight loss any better (I normally lose 1 2lbs a week). I am half way through a week at the moment, as my weigh day is Tuesdays, so I will continue for a week and a half to see the true benefits (if any).
Even if it does nothing, I am having something I enjoy, so it doesnt really matter. Unless of course I get sick to death of grapefruits in the process. lol - Watch this space!!!

Hi I am a "old" slimming world member - have got to target and been Shoreham Slimmer of the Year but due to family bereavement and my husband developing cancer put the weight back on. No time for myself and eating on the move between hospital visits. Hubby lost weight and I gained - how unfair is all that!! Anyway beat the big C and now I am back at SW and losing. Love your website and the recipes.
