Buttered Corn on the Cob

This recipe is gluten free, vegetarian, Slimming World and Weight Watchers friendly

  • 4 corn on the cobs, (with part husk)
  • 1 tbs of butter (5 syns)
  • sea salt
  • optional: fire roasted tomato flakes or red pepper flakes
  1. Rinse the corn under water
  2. Wrap in kitchen paper towels
  3. Add to the microwave
  4. Microwave on full power for 6 mins
  5. Remove husk
  6. Chop with a large knife in half (optional, my kids prefer it in small sizes like this)
  7. Melted butter in microwave (about 30 secs)
  8. Add corn to a bowl, drizzle with the melted butter and toss
  9. Season well with sea salt
  10. Sprinkle with optional fire roasted tomato or red pepper flakes.
