Big Mac Fries

This recipe is gluten free, Slimming World and Weight Watchers friendly

Extra Easy - 1 HEa and 2 syns

  • 200g of extra lean ground beef
  • salt and black pepper
  • 500g of russet potatoes
  • ½ small white onion, diced
  • couple of slices of pickle, diced
  • 1 cup/240ml of shredded romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 60g/2oz of cheddar cheese - 1 HEa
for the sauce
  • 2 tbs of low fat mayonnaise - 3.5 syns
  • 6 tbs/90ml of fat free plain yoghurt
  • ½ tsp of paprika
  • ¼ tsp of mustard powder
  • ¼ tsp of onion powder
  • couple of slices of pickle, diced
  • ½ tsp of sweetener of choice
  1. Add the ground beef to a bowl and season well with salt and black pepper. Mix together.
  2. Form into mini burger patties using burger press of by hand.
  3. Refrigerate for 1 hour to firm.
  4. Preheat oven to 200c/400f (gas mark 6)
  5. Peel potatoes and make into my Perfect Syn Free Fries
  6. While the chips are cooking in the oven
  7. Spray a frying pan over a medium heat with spray oil.
  8. Add the mini burger patties and fry till browned.
  9. Roughly chop patties and set aside
  10. In a bowl add the mayo, yoghurt, paprika, mustard powder, onion powder, pickle and sweetener and whisk to combine.
  11. Add some shredded lettuce to two plates.
  12. Then once fries are ready, line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  13. Arrange the fries into two piles on the tray.
  14. Scatter with the chopped up burger patties.
  15. Sprinkle with the chopped white onion
  16. and scatter with the cheddar.
  17. Place back in the oven till cheese is melted.
  18. Serve over the crisp lettuce
  19. Top with the chopped pickle.
  20. Drizzle with the sauce
  21. Sprinkle with a few sesame seeds.
  22. Dig in and enjoy
