I recently received a complimentary copy of the Fast and Filling Family Food Cookbook from Slimming World USA which is now available on their website for $9.95.
It comes packed with 50 delicious recipes that your whole family can enjoy and is divided into 7 sections such as:
- Appetizers and Light Bites
- Marvelous Meat
- Perfect Poultry
- Fish and Seafood
- Pasta and Rice
- Vibrant Vegetables
- Diving Desserts
Of course I am not a stranger to Slimming World and have been following this fabulous healthy eating plan for a few years now, the majority of the time coming up with my own delicious recipes.
If you are after a good cookbook to add to your bookshelf (although I am guessing this book will spend most of it’s time in your kitchen) then this is a definite one to purchase, each recipes has a colourful photo, showing you each delicious meal.
There was one that instantly caught my eye and I couldn’t wait to give it a try.
Sweet Potato and Carrot Tagine
This yummy recipe, contains a mixture of sweet and tender vegetables such as white and sweet potato, tomatoes, carrots and a delicious combination of Moroccan inspired spices. The recipe recommends to serve with couscous, but as I am going through a quinoa addiction at the moment, I decided to serve mine with a quinoa and brown rice blend. It was delicious!!
Some of the other recipes is this book are:
- Chilli loaded potato skins
- Honey Glazed Pork Chops with scallion and red bell pepper mashed potatoes
- Barbecue Chicken Fajitas
- Griddled Tuna with snap peas and red pepper salsa
- Special egg fried rice
- Wild mushroom and potato frittata
- Chocolate and apricot brownies
