The Benefit of Slimming World Classes

I’m often asked, “Why should I go to Slimming World Classes?  Can I just do it on my own?”.  So I thought I’d do a post to go over the benefit of  Slimming World Classes (groups).

The benefit of going to a Slimming World Group - Slimming Eats

Accountability

This is, without doubt, the number one reason.  If you are going to a group every week and will be weighed, you are without a doubt far more likely to stick to the plan.  Just knowing this is enough motivation to make sure that you don’t succumb to temptation.

Expert Advice

Going to a class ensures that you receive the help and guidance of a Slimming World certified consultant.  These consultants know their stuff, they’ve been through it themselves and they have access to the best knowledge so they can pass it along to you.  This is called IMAGE Therapy where your consultant and fellow member share their knowledge, tips, and advice.

Group Support

You will quickly make friends and share the experience of going on a weight loss journey with them.  You’ll share the up’s and down’s (hopefully mostly down’s but of course there will be ups along the way too) and witness their progress will be just as compelling as your own.

Milestone Rewards

You’ll receive certificates and rewards along the way.  Once you lose 10% of your body weight and keep it off for 10 weeks, you’ll achieve a Club 10 Award, then you’ll receive your next class free.  Once you hit your Personal Achievement Target, you’ll be able to attend any group for free for life while you maintain your weight (3lbs above or below).

Exclusive Products

By attending a group you have access to products that are often not offered anywhere else.  This includes food items and books specifically designed for and by Slimming World.

Free Online Access

All group attendees get complimentary access to LifelineOnline, this provides you with additional support including food lists, Syns Estimator, Weight Loss Planer, recipes and more.

How to get started?

First of all, head to the nearest group page and enter your Postcode.  This will give you information on the groups near you, you may be surprised at the number available to you, so you may want to ask around some friends as to which they attend and maybe you could go along with them.  Then head to the Special Offers page to see what the currently available offers are.

What if I can’t attend a group?

It’s possible that you live in a remote area or like me, a country where Slimming World hasn’t expanded to yet.  Don’t despair, there are still some options available to you.  Sign up online to Slimming World UK or Slimming World USA you’ll still get some great benefits and access to guides and tools to help keep you on track.

Sign up to a support group on a social network like my Facebook group where over 200k members already help and support each other with great advice and encouragement.  Or create an Instagram account and log your journey. I found doing this keeps you accountable and you will also find lots of other people on the same journey. Use it to post a visual log of your food diary, you will be surprised by the motivation it gives you.

Don’t forget to check out my Meal Plans and Recipes (over 900 to choose from, to help plan out your weeks in advance.

and if you are not really sure how the plan works. Check out my Slimming World Review – where I explain food optimizing on Slimming World.

You got this!

I hope this post has been useful in helping you decide if attending a class is right for you, either way, I’m sure you’ll make the decision right for you and achieve the weight loss success you are looking for!
