Pocky Madness

Since I moved to Canada,  I have become slightly Pocky Mad.

Now you may ask –  What on earth is a Pocky?

Well I am about to reveal. A Pocky is kind of pretzel flavoured covered stick and are a big craze from Japan. You can read more on the Wikipedia page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pocky

They are similar I think to the Mikado sticks in the UK. Although Pocky have a much wider range of flavours.

The good thing is, they are generally less than 200 calories for a whole box. Which gives you quite a few sticks, and is a great snack/treat for watching a movie.

These are my favourite ones:

These ones are only 170 calories for the whole box, and are kind of like a white chocolate covered coating. I got some for $1 in Wal-Mart, which is one place I have found tends to stock a variety of them. Have also seen them in Oriental food markets.

But you can also order them from Amazon (US):

or if you are in the UK, just Google Pocky and you will find various sites in the UK where you can order them from.

Heya, I have found them on eBay, what are the syn values ? have you put ‘em in on Syns online? I wanna buy some lol x

they are 200 calories for a whole box, some are about 170 calories for the whole box, so it depends which ones you got, which would make them 10 syns, but tht is for a lot of sticks, so I sometimes have just half of them for 5 syns ;)

the mikado things are 11 kcal a stick, so half a syn each, which makes counting easier!
