Start your morning with these amazing homemade Syn Free Pork Sausage Breakfast Patties, super easy to make with a delicious taste.
Sausage is one of my favourite additions to my plate for breakfast and it’s a great source of protein that goes perfectly with a variety of different eggs from fried, to poached to scrambled.
It’s so easy to make delicious homemade Pork Sausage Breakfast Patties, so you don’t have to worry about sourcing a decent low syn variety at the grocery store.
One of the great things about these Syn Free Pork Sausage Breakfast Patties is you can make up a batch of them at the weekend to last through the week or even freeze some for another day.
Most store-bought sausages, come high in fat and full of fillers and most of those fillers are not gluten-free either, which means you are even more limited if you can’t eat gluten.
To make these yummy Pork Sausage Breakfast Patties I use Pork shoulder which is a tasty cut of pork and can be pretty budget friendly too.
I buy it when on offer, remove all visible fat and then I just add it to the food processor bowl of my Nutri Ninja Food Processor with Auto IQ technology to grind down into mince.
I just find it makes much better-tasting sausage patties and you can change these up so easily too with different spices. It also works as a ground-up sausage in recipes like this yummy Breakfast Hash.
How can I add a 1/3 speed foods to these Pork Sausage Breakfast Patties?
If you are having these for breakfast, there are so many great things you can add to get in some speed foods. Here are a few side dishes I love to serve these with:
- Balsamic Tomatoes and Spinach
- Syn Free Sautéed Garlic Mushrooms
- Roasted Butternut Squash with Paprika
- Baked Tomatoes with Ham and Egg
or some spinach or baby greens is another great option, even some mixed berries in a bowl.

If using Lean Pork Mince (5% fat) these are free! 🙂
made these yesterday….WOW everyone liked the, even the non-dieters….but what stood out was they tasted like McDonalds’ breakfast patties but syn free
If freezing, should I cook them first or freeze them raw
I prefer to freeze cooked. 🙂
Would they work as well with packaged lean pork mince?
I suppose you could use this idea for sausage rolls etc? Can imagine lots of recipes you could make from these patties. Thank you been looking for ages after a good recipe.
These patties are truly delicious! Recipe is simple, quick to make with just a few ingredients (used 5% fat pork mince) and everyone loved them. Definitely going to try this mix in your sausage rolls recipe. (And yes they are as tasty as McDonalds breakfast patties). Winner!
Hi ,I don’t have a food Processor
Any suggestions as what else I could use to make these sausages.
Kind regards sue
just used pork mince and combine by hand. 🙂
I just warm on a pan over a medium to low heat or warm up in the oven, they can also be microwaved but I prefer the other methods.
Hi

If you freeze these after cooking, what’s the best way to defrost and recook please?
Thanks
I just heat up on pan over a low/medium heat.
