Low Syn just 2 Ingredient Fudgsicles – perfect for those chocolatey cravings in the hot summer months.
After the success of these super refreshing Raspberry Lemonade Popsicles that I made the other day, the kids requested some fudgsicles and what a great idea too.
I wanted to make some that were as low syn as possible, so that I could enjoy them too. So deciding on the ingredients to use was the biggest dilemma.
Vanilla yoghurt, seemed like the perfect choice and then all that was left to decide, was what to use to get that fudge chocolatey flavour. Cocoa powder on it’s own can be very bitter unless you add something to sweeten and because I wanted to keep the syns as low as possible for these, I decided on some Sweet Freedom Choc Shot for the flavour.
I love Sweet Freedom Choc Shot for a low syn chocolate flavour. It is all natural ingredients, nothing artificial, so great for recipes like this.
To make the fudgsicles – I use this Norpro Frozen Ice Pop Maker on Amazon with some wooden ice pop sticks.
I love that it makes traditional looking ice pops. Once they are frozen. I just run under a little water, to make them loosen and easy to remove, then pop into a ziplock freezer bag. That way it clears the mold for me to make some different ones and the kids have various popsicles to grab and go from the freezer.

Fabulous recipes and will be trying some out…. But what is Chic Shot?? Can we purchase in England please??
Hi Christine – Choc Shot is made by Sweet Freedom (www.sweetfreedom.co.uk) and is a chocolate syrup made from all natural ingredients. Perfect for that chocolate fix.
Sweet freedom here in the states is $13.00 a bottle. What can I use as a substitute
Hi Deb – Hersey’s sugar-free chocolate syrup should work as an alternative, but ingredients would not be all natural as in sweet freedom. I haven’t seen a similar product here sadly, I get the family to bring me some over whenever they visit.
